Duplicate Files Finder allows you to find and remove duplicate files from your computer; thereby it gives you more space on your hard drive.
To begin to scan select the hard drive you wish to scan and click in the "Scan for duplicate files" button. You can just scan certain folder clicking in the "Scan certain folder" label and you will be able to select the desired directory or subdirectory. When clicking “ok” the program will begin to scan directly. In the Options menu you can define the file types you wish to include in the scan, the folders you wish to skip, and select a removal option.
- Scan File type option. You can select to scan all file types or only defined types. The file types you can select are: jpg, jpeg, bmp, gif, png, tif, psd, mp3, wma, and wav. But you can add more file masks clicking in the "Add" button and entering the file mask and its description.
- Skip Folders option. You can add folders to be skipped in scan. You have to click in the "Add Folder" button and select the directory or subdirectory. Also you can delete a folder in the folder list to be skipped.
- Removal option. You can select an option to remove the files. Permanently, move to Recycle Bin, and move to specified folder. Removing permanently will delete the files without placing it in the Recycle Bin. System requirements: Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/NT/XP/2000 /2003/Vista x 32, Vista x64, Microsoft Framework 2.0.
